Are you grateful for 21 days of self-service?

“Appreciating everything is the key to a peaceful YOU.”

Before I begin with my writing, I hope you all are doing well and none of you are affected by this deadly virus. Stay safe, stay sanitized. I hope we all sail through the days of crisis.

So, with the third day of lock-down everyone is engaged with fun activities around. Talking about the social media, I’ve seen people nominating each other to play Bingo, Ludo, Housie and even for routine workouts. It feels so good to observe that everyone’s involved in things they are entertained by.

Guys, hello? That is Social Media. That is, connecting yourself to the world around. Have you ever thought about involving yourself with your household? I am delighted if you prove me wrong here.

We often tend to ignore the slightest of points that could actually make us content from within. So, if you’re not a person who loves to perform household work like mopping the floor, cleaning utensils, dusting around the corners of the house, watering the plants, doing laundry, cooking, or even cleaning the toilets, this blog is meant for you to read.

“Thank you God, Thank you God, Thank you God”

DAY 3: POUR YOUR HEART OUT IN SELF-SERVICE

“House-arrest” or “Lock-down” seems more of a punishment than a leisure. When I say self-service, that’s just a short way of telling people, “My dear friends, we’re all by ourselves”.

It may be possible that some of you have an option to skip such self-service tasks. Parents sparkling their divine love over you, as their child, or you may have the luxury of a 24*7 helper at home. But I am sure many of us are left with no other option than “to DO”. If you belong to the former category, I request you to begin with any one task at home. Ultimately, you all would relish doing them.

How thoughtful are you while you have your meal, or drink water, or grab a random snack, or brush your teeth, or comb your hair, or bathe, etc. ? It is very important to give your happy thoughts to such tasks. The fact is, we all have categorized them into small daily not-so-interesting simple tasks because of which we forget to divert out good thoughts over them.

Have you ever been thankful while doing any of it? If yes, with what intensity have you felt it? Have you really felt it or it is just superficial?

When you are true to yourself and realize how lucky you are to do any of it then only, you’ll feel the vibe to do your household work. Therefore, mopping or sweeping around the house would seem simple because you are giving your love to your house, washing the dishes would be simple because you are giving your love to the food already gone into your belly- filling your empty stomach, cleaning the basins and lavatories would not be hard as well because you are thankful that you have proper sanitary facilities, and so on.

I hope I am able to convey my thoughts clearly.

“THANK YOU GOD FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO RUN MY OWN ERRANDS. I AM LUCKY TO TAKE AND GIVE SERVICES TO MY OWNSELF. IT’S ALL MINE.”

Now, it’s the time for my favorite part. ACTIVITY !!! 📢 Yayyy!

ACTIVITY- “Go ahead with (at least one) household work. Figure out one thing to be grateful for. And perform it daily. Making it your habit, at the end. The practice is to show your positivism even for the least interested work.”

You have something to share? Comment section is the space. I would love to read it.

“When there’s no alternative to Self-Service, then why not enjoy it?”

Thank you!
