7th Day of QUARANTINE Gratitude
“The BIGGEST Tribute even to the SMALLEST thing is worth a Million.”
Today, let me begin with a short story.
A lady goes for shopping with her 6 year old daughter. Just walking through the corridor of a mall, the kid stands in front of Hamley store with her jaw dropped. When she forces her mom into the store she is so fascinated by the books, toys and puzzles all around. It was no less than Pure Gold for that little girl. There, she finds a beautiful pretty pencil with a bouncy head on it attached by a spring. The girl is lured by that tiny object. She cutely throws tantrums in front of her mom and ultimately, she had to buy that tiny piece of happiness for her daughter. The little girl is so grateful to her mom, that she jumps around all day long thanking her for buying it.
A decade from then, that 16 year old girl goes for shopping with her mom again. This time she is lured by a fancy dress. When she checks the price tag, she is rejoiced by the fact that it wasn’t an overpriced piece of beauty. The next moment she tries to convince her mom to buy it for her. On her first denial, she begins with an argument that it can easily be bought as “it is not an expensive demand made by her” .
To catch up with the moral of this story, let me begin with My Next Gratitude for the seventh day of Corona Quarantine.
“Thank You God, Thank You God, Thank You God!!”
DAY 7: SHOWER YOUR GRATITUDE TO ALL THE BILLS YOU HAVE PAID
When the mundane days at home have hit you hard, have you ever realized how thankful you can be to afford a home to stay within, or afford internet services for your home and your phone, or pay for the electricity that helps run all the electronics, or even survive in your life till this point?
“Money is all we need to run our lives”. Mind the words, I said that Money is all we need to RUN our lives. Our survival through the bad days and the contentment for our good days, all comes from money.
While you sit back, relax your mind and start counting things you can be grateful for, it all comes from finances that run your life. No doubt you have burnt the midnight's oil to reach a point where you are happily financially independent. And there too, you can be thankful to yourself that you are capable enough to achieve what you want.
Where “MONEY- Runs your life”, “HAPPINESS- Valuates your money”. Altogether, it is crucial to adjoin them simultaneously into your lives.
Coming back to the story, that 6 year old kiddo plunged herself to an ecstatic state without thinking of the cost price. A small thing could buy her happiness and how grateful she was to her mother. But as she grew into a big girl, the price tag saying an amount which her mother can afford to buy did not bother her much.
Valuating things on the basis of money restriction is our biggest fault. It is so important to understand the fact that “YOU CAN THANK EVERY PENNY IN YOUR POCKET”. You could not bear any of the day-to-day lifestyle expenses without a single penny collecting itself to sum-up a big amount.
Relaxing in your own home, showing our deepest gratitude to the money that has given us all the basic amenities of survival must be a routine practice.
“THANK YOU UNIVERSE FOR GIVING ME A FAMILY WHERE EACH OF THE MEMBER CAN HELP ME FINANCIALLY WHENEVER I AM IN NEED, WITH ALL THEIR LOVE. I AM BLESSED WITH AMPLE OF MONEY TO RUN MY LIFESTYLE.”
And today, the activity for you is…….. 🤩
ACTIVITY- “If you recall the phase of demonetization, I am sure you must be saving some old currency notes in your home. Take out one of it. The smaller the amount, the better. Take a pen and write down “I Thank You God for showering abundance of money over me” (The small currency is a symbol of being grateful to the tiniest things you could buy from that amount). Place that currency note in your wallet so whenever you open it up and see that note, you’re deeply thankful.”
Thank you dear readers for listening to me everyday for the past 7 days.
